It is the intention of the Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipal Council, to establish a Johannesburg Investment and Tourism Company ( SOC ) Ltd.

The draft By-law, to create such a Council owned entity, was approved by the Metropolitan Council on 18 March, 2016.

As Chairperson of the S79 Committee, Economic Development, I was mandated to embark on a consultative process with Stakeholders, within our City, especially those within the Investment and Tourism environment, in order to solicit input from role players in respect of amongst others the following:

•Objectives of the Service Utility;

•Good Governance Structure’s;

•Funding Guidelines; and

•Other related matters that can boost the economic development and growth of our City, through the proposed entity.

We, therefore would like to invite you to a Presentation on Wednesday, 20 April, 2016, at the Offices of Johannesburg Tourism at 10:00 (Tourism) and 14:00 (Investment), situated at the Sandton Public Library, 4th Floor, Nelson Mandela Square, in order to give effect to the consultative process.
