City Kidz Sports and Cultural Tour to Polokwane
Thirty (30) of the Grade 5 and 6 learners have been invited to spend a weekend at Mitchell House for a Sports and Cultural Tour to Polokwane. The tour has been organised for Term 4 from Friday 31 October to Saturday 1 November 2014.
This is the first cultural and sports tour of its kind for the school and will be an educational, cultural and sport, fun-filled weekend.
The learners will participate in various activities, including a Spelling Bee competition, soccer and netball tournaments, chess matches and cultural dancing.
The learners will be contributing a small fee to help cover the costs of the tour which will include accommodation, meals, transport and a small gift for the host family.
Funds donated by MMID will cover the cost of a breakfast at the WIMPY (a stop along the way), subsidise some children who cannot afford the nominal fee and cover the shortfall for the transport plus to have funds for incidental costs needed for the trip.
