This Mandela Day the GPMA is highlighting the good work being done by CIDs.

Windsor East and Windsor West are supporting the Linden SAPS and CPF Soup Jar of Hope campaign.
Packing days are Sunday 14 July 10h00-16h00 and Thursday 18 July 10h00-16h00. Jars and soup ingredients can be dropped off at Linden SAPS any time from 1-18 July.

The Braamfontein Improvement District is supporting two charities this Mandela Day.
Ladles of Love aims to break the world record for “The largest number of volunteers paying to spend 67 minutes on Mandela Day in service, to grow children in need.” Your R200 ticket to participate in the event will provide a child with 40 healthy meals. See more details HERE

The other initiative supported by the Braamfontein Improvement District is the Secret Scarves by 67 Blankets. At 3pm, scarves are going to be hung in Reserve St where those in need will be able to help themselves. Those wanting to participate in this event can either bring a scarf to Reserve St at 3pm or donate towards someone else knitting a scarf.
