Dear GPMA Members and Partners,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new General Manager of the Gauteng Precinct Management Association (GPMA), stepping into the role after the remarkable tenure of Anne Steffny, who has dedicated over 25 years to advancing urban management and creating thriving precincts across South Africa. Anne has left an indelible mark on the industry and on me personally as my mentor since 2018. Her leadership has been invaluable, and while she steps back, her legacy continues to inspire us all.

As I assume this role, I am excited to bring my experience and passion for inclusive urban development and spatial transformation to GPMA. With an honours degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Witwatersrand, my career has been deeply rooted in creating sustainable, livable communities. From my time at the Department of Human Settlements, where I focused on research for upgrading informal settlements, to my work as Precinct Manager at Makers Valley Partnership in Bertrams, Troyeville, and Bezuidenhout Valley, and later at TUHF21, I have developed a holistic approach to urban management that emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and impactful partnerships.

Born and raised in Johannesburg, I am a true Joburger who understands the pulse of our communities. I believe in the power of collaboration, capacity building, and sustainable practices to uplift our precincts and create inclusive, vibrant places for all. As we move forward, I am committed to upholding the values that have shaped GPMA, while also bringing fresh energy, strategic thinking, and a focus on innovative, nature-based solutions to our precincts.

I look forward to working closely with all of you – our members, partners, and communities – to continue the important work of creating safe, thriving, and sustainable environments across Gauteng.
