The Hill Action Group (THAG) are mobilizing their community members to clean up the neighbourhood, a few streets at a time, by communicating through their WhatsApp Group.
A cleanup operation took place on Saturday 1st April and another is planned for Saturday 8th April. Community members are asked to bring their own gardening/ cleaning equipment.

Notebably, the Southern Business Community Forum is equally proactive and dedicated to the revitalisation of the area. Working closely with residents, SAPS, Ward Councillors and other City Official to make an impact on Urban Management issues in the area. This includes;
- Reporting stolen water metres/ burst water pipes
- Sharing important contact details for emergencies
- Updates on power outages
- Warnings to lookout for suspicious vehicles with registration details
- Community awareness, unity building & support for vulnerable residents
