Local Government Property Summit 2026

SALGA invites all municipalities and partners in the residential property development sector to the second sitting of the Local Government Residential Property Development Summit.
The purpose of the summit is to create space for engagement between the public and private sectors to explore opportunities for enhancing performance in the residential property development market.
Some of the key issues the summit will cover will include the following:
– Dialogue on exploring housing and property development solutions
– Knowledge exchange and learning that could benefit Municipalities.
– Streamlining land development processes.
– Partnership between municipalities and private sector in residential property development.
– Technology and Innovation in the residential property sector
It is recommended that Municipalities consider delegating up to three representatives comprised of a political and administrative representatives of the following:
– Human Settlements
– Economic Development and Investment Promotion
– Spatial Planning and Land Use Management
– Finance
The Summit will take place as follows:
