A big thank you to Newtown Junction, Atterbury and all shops involved who donated food parcels to the hardworking men serving the Newtown Improvement District! As the isiZulu idiom goes “Nenze nakwabanwe”, – may your generosity know no bounds and be extended to others.
Urban Space Management is making a visible difference to the urban environment in Newtown through interventions that are targeting the restoration of sidewalks to improve walkability amongst other interventions.
Above are images of the sidewalk along Marriam Makeba Street, next to Turbine Hall where pavements are being reinstated to facilitate safe pedestrian movement.
